The Origin

In May 2021 I came to the realization it was time to stop drinking alcohol. I couldn’t seem to find balance with it in my life and it was holding me back from being happy and healthy. And stopping wasn’t easy. Besides the long term dependence I had fostered, I also found there was a ton of built up marketing influence kicking around my brain. Once I got my head straightened out and started to feel comfortable going out again, I found the NA options at the time were lacking. NA beers were not a good fit in the early stages of my alcohol free quest. I was drinking a ton of seltzer but I was seeking something with a little more depth, something that would register in the lizard brain that it was time to shift gears from work to play but without tasting like beer.

My sister grew hops in the past and I remember putting the fresh flowers directly into our glasses of beer to give it more of a punch. I wondered if I could do that with sparkling water. It needed to be light, crisp, with a clean finish. So I started experimenting in my kitchen with different recipes to find that perfect balance. Once I got it dialed in, I’d bring it around to parties and to work for friends and co-workers that were also cutting back on booze. Everyone really liked it and I kept getting requests to make more. So here we are.
